Someone, somewhere, right now is having a difficult time trying to get a quarantine partner. That is what they are calling it too, shame on you!
I’m sure I am not the only one that has thought about the corona virus and sex. Social distancing is encouraging us to stay as far apart from each other but we share beds with our partners. What to do?
Good news is there is no evidence that the Covid-19 can be transmitted via either vaginal or anal intercourse but how does one partake of the act while maintaining the distance?
Kissing is a very common practice during sexual intercourse, and the virus can be transmitted via saliva. Therefore, the virus can be transmitted by kissing. You know what that means? Yes you cannot kiss.
According to NYC Health, the safest person to have sex with is someone you live with or yourself that’s because you tend to know where you’ve been and what you’ve done, most of the time.
COVID-19 has been found in feces of people who are infected with the virus, so anal sex is a NO NO!
If you usually meet your sex partners online or make a living by having sex, consider taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting or chat rooms may be options for you.
Washing up before and after sex is more important than ever. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Disinfect keyboards and touch screens that you share with others (for video chat, for watching pornography or for anything else).
If you or a partner may have COVID-19, avoid sex and especially kissing. Make sure you have an effective form of birth control for the coming weeks, clearly this is not the time for baby making.
My advice though, stay away from sex. Is it really worth dying for? Lol but again you are human, natural urges tend to get the best of us.
People will still find time to have sex even when the world is coming to an end.
Remember, the virus can spread to people who are within about 6 feet of a person with COVID-19 when that person coughs or sneezes. The virus can spread through direct contact with their saliva or mucus.
